Dr. Mary J. Hawkins

Dr. Hawkins originally grew up in Florida. She always had an interest in and passion for alternative medicine. When she suffered from multiple motor vehicle accidents growing up it left her with severe insomnia, lack of full range of motion in her neck, and many other symptoms. She tried various alternative forms of medicine, therapy, and multiple chiropractors to help resolve her symptoms with no success. It wasn’t until she first began chiropractic school that she received her first Blair Upper Cervical adjustment by Dr. Christopher Lee and all of her symptoms resolved. She has been dedicated to learning the Blair Upper Cervical technique since.

Dr. Hawkins graduated from Life University Magna Cum Laude as a doctor of chiropractic and is board certified by the California Board of Chiropractic Examiners. She received her Blair Upper Cervical student certification during her time in chiropractic school.

Dr. Hawkins also is Webster certified meaning she is certified and educated in treating women who are wanting to get pregnant, women who are pregnant and post pregnancy. She also took extra course work for pediatric care in her time in chiropractic school and is well versed in caring for newborn babies, babies, toddlers and young children.

Dr. Hawkins is experienced and educated in other chiropractic techniques as well as the Activator technique, Thompson technique, SOT technique and more. She served as president and was on the board for multiple clubs on campus during her time in chiropractic school.

Dr. Hawkins has completed a 200 hour yoga instructor training leading her to be able to suggest appropriate stretches and tools for greater overall health that her patients can take home. Dr. Hawkins weightlifts multiple times a week and enjoys suggesting workouts to strengthen the body as well. She also has taken course work in nutrition and takes living a holistic lifestyle seriously.

Dr. Hawkins puts her family above all and aspires to treat all of her patients as family, dedicating her life to make the world a better place through the facilitation of helping an individual feel their best. She knows this has an extremely important ripple effect that can have major change.
